Using authentic materials in ESL classroom

This article provides some information about the usage and effectiveness of authentic materials in ESL classroom. By exposing students to a range of linguistic registers, accents, and varieties, authentic materials enhance their overall ability. They facilitate the integration of tasks and skills, mirroring language use in everyday situations. They provide possibilities for authentic assessment and prepare students forsettings in both academia and the workplace.
