Innovative strategies of language teaching in the conditions of globalization

Abstract

This article highlights innovative strategies of language teaching in the context of globalization. It also examines how modernity encourages new approaches to language education as a result of increased levels of mobility, transnationalism and neoliberalism. Because many societies are in decline, the connections between languages, cultures, and places are no longer reciprocal. Instead, language learning and teaching is increasingly concerned with diasporic connections, intercultural identities, global cosmopolitanism, and translingual practices, all of which articulate approaches that challenge modernist views of language.
