Forms of address play a key role in interpersonal communication, reflecting social norms, cultural traditions, and levels of politeness in society. In different languages, systems of address have evolved under the influence of historical, social, and linguistic factors, leading to significant differences in their use. This paper presents a comparative analysis of forms of address in English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, Uzbek, and German languages. The study draws on theoretical perspectives from sociolinguistics, discourse pragmatics, and politeness theory, allowing for the identification of both universal and specific features of address systems.
