This article explores the comparative features of children's anecdotes in English and Uzbek languages, examining how they reflect cultural values, linguistic structures, and educational purposes. English children's anecdotes often utilize wordplay, puns, and imaginative scenarios to entertain and subtly impart lessons on problem-solving and individuality. In contrast, Uzbek children's anecdotes are deeply rooted in everyday life, emphasizing respect for elders, communal values, and moral instruction through situational humor and poetic elements. By comparing these two forms of storytelling, this study highlights the universal role of anecdotes in childhood development while underscoring the unique cultural perspectives they offer. The findings reveal that despite their differences, both English and Uzbek children's anecdotes serve to educate, entertain, and preserve cultural heritage in engaging and memorable ways
