Linguistic competence is a fundamental element of language learning, which includes not only knowledge of vocabulary and grammar but also the ability to use language effectively in communication. In middle school education, the development of linguistic competence through listening and speaking activities plays a significant role in forming well-rounded language learners. This article examines the importance of listening and speaking in enhancing students’ linguistic competence, with particular attention to interactive learning strategies, listening comprehension practices, and the development of oral communication skills.
