Early childhood is considered one of the most important periods for foreign language learning because children naturally acquire sounds, vocabulary, and communication skills more easily at a young age. In modern education, traditional grammar-based methods are gradually being replaced by interactive and child-centered approaches that encourage active participation and natural communication. This article discusses modern approaches to teaching foreign languages in early childhood and examines their influence on children’s language development, motivation, and classroom engagement. Special attention is given to methods such as Total Physical Response (TPR), storytelling, songs, games, role-play activities, and multimedia technologies. The article also highlights the importance of emotional support, classroom interaction, and cultural exposure in the language learning process. Theoretical ideas and practical recommendations from leading researchers in young learner education are analyzed to understand how modern methodologies improve teaching effectiveness. Research findings show that children learn foreign languages more successfully when lessons are enjoyable, meaningful, and adapted to their developmental needs. The study concludes that innovative teaching strategies not only improve language acquisition but also support children’s cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
