This study examines the role of critical thinking in improving language learning within the framework of Critical Language Learning (CLL). Modern language education increasingly emphasizes analytical skills, learner autonomy, and meaningful communication. The research employs a mixed-method approach involving EFL students divided into experimental and control groups. The experimental group engaged in critical thinking-based tasks such as debates, problem-solving activities, and reflective writing, while the control group followed traditional instruction methods. The findings reveal that students exposed to critical thinking strategies demonstrate significant improvement in language proficiency, particularly in speaking and writing skills. Additionally, these learners show higher motivation, engagement, and confidence. The study concludes that integrating critical thinking into language teaching enhances both cognitive and communicative competence, making it an essential component of effective language education.
