Annotasiya

Language plays a fundamental role in shaping human identity and cultural belonging. Linguistic identity reflects how individuals and communities define themselves through the language they use in communication, cultural expression, and social interaction. In the context of globalization, linguistic identity is increasingly influenced by migration, technological development, and the dominance of global languages. While globalization facilitates intercultural communication and multilingualism, it also raises cultural challenges such as language marginalization, language shift, and the erosion of minority languages. This study explores the relationship between linguistic identity and cultural issues through a qualitative analysis of existing literature in sociolinguistics and cultural studies. The findings indicate that linguistic identity functions as a crucial marker of cultural belonging, while globalization simultaneously creates both opportunities and threats for linguistic diversity. The study highlights the importance of multilingual education, inclusive language policies, and cultural awareness in preserving linguistic identity and promoting intercultural communication in modern societies.
