This article is devoted to the analysis of the linguocultural features of idiomatic expressions in the English and Uzbek languages. Idioms are considered as an essential linguistic phenomenon reflecting the close interrelation between language and culture. The study examines the semantic structure, connotative meanings, national and cultural peculiarities, as well as the communicative and pragmatic functions of idioms from a comparative perspective. Furthermore, the research highlights the similarities and differences in cultural concepts, values, and worldviews embodied in English and Uzbek idioms. The findings demonstrate that idioms function not only as linguistic units but also as carriers of historical experience, national mentality, and cultural identity.
