The rapid decline of linguistic diversity worldwide has created an urgent need for effective preservation strategies. Endangered languages carry unique cultural, historical, and cognitive knowledge that cannot be fully captured once lost. This article examines the role of artificial intelligence (AI) in documenting, analyzing, and revitalizing endangered languages. By leveraging machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and speech recognition, AI facilitates efficient digital documentation, supports language learning, and assists in reconstructing under-resourced languages. The study also discusses challenges such as limited data availability, ethical considerations, and the importance of community involvement. Combining advanced technology with cultural sensitivity provides a sustainable approach to safeguarding linguistic heritage and ensuring that endangered languages continue to thrive in the digital era.
