The purpose of this study is to identify the key challenges faced by philology in the era of rapid digital progress. During the analysis, modern scientific concepts were considered, as well as examples of the functioning of language in the media environment and their impact on linguistics and literary studies. The data obtained indicate the need to revise established methods and introduce digital solutions into the practice of teaching and analysis. The article also touches on the issues of language transformations under the influence of globalisation, features of media texts and new forms of communication that require rethinking within the framework of philological science.
