The process of language learning is influenced by a wide range of psychological, social, and pedagogical factors. Among these, the role of the audience is particularly significant, as it directly affects learners’ motivation, performance, and communication strategies. The presence of an audience encourages learners to be more attentive, responsible, and engaged in the learning process. At the same time, it may also create anxiety and fear of making mistakes, especially among beginners. This article aims to analyze the role of the audience in language learning, focusing on its impact on learners’ speaking and writing skills. The study also highlights both the positive and negative aspects of audience awareness and provides practical recommendations for educators.
