The erosion of global linguistic diversity continues at an alarming rate, with nearly half of the world’s 7,000 languages at risk of extinction. This article explores the phenomenon of language endangerment and analyzes current revitalization strategies used across various linguistic communities. Using a qualitative review of scholarly literature and case studies, the paper outlines key causes of language shift, discusses the sociocultural consequences of language loss, and evaluates the effectiveness of revitalization initiatives. The findings emphasize the necessity of community involvement, institutional support, and integration of modern technologies to ensure successful revitalization.
