This article examines the structural differences between English and Uzbek through a comparative-linguistic lens. Drawing on theories from second language acquisition, contrastive analysis, and sociocultural approaches, it explores systematic challenges faced by Uzbek learners of English. Empirical evidence, including classroom studies and experimental data, indicates that learners’ difficulties stem from profound linguistic contrasts, emphasizing the need for data-informed teaching strategies.
