Code-switching is more than a linguistic phenomenon; it is a social practice through which bilingual speakers construct and negotiate identity. This paper explores how language alternation functions in everyday communication, reflecting cultural belonging, social positioning, and interpersonal relationships. Drawing on sociolinguistic theories and qualitative analysis, the study demonstrates that code-switching is a meaningful, context-sensitive strategy. The findings highlight that identity is fluid and continuously shaped through interaction.
