This article explores the complex interplay between linguistic identity and globalization, highlighting both the challenges and opportunities that arise in this dynamic context. As globalization fosters increased communication and interaction among diverse linguistic communities, it simultaneously poses threats to linguistic diversity and cultural heritage. This study employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating qualitative interviews and quantitative surveys to assess the perceptions of individuals regarding their linguistic identities in a globalized world. The findings reveal that while globalization can lead to the erosion of local languages, it also provides platforms for linguistic revitalization and intercultural exchange. The implications of these findings underscore the need for policies that promote linguistic diversity while embracing the benefits of globalization.
