The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into education has significantly transformed teaching and learning processes, particularly in language classrooms. This study explores the role of AI in English language instruction, examining its effectiveness, applications, and challenges. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review and case analysis, the paper identifies how AI tools enhance language acquisition, personalize learning, and support teachers. The findings suggest that while AI offers substantial benefits such as adaptive learning and immediate feedback, concerns related to ethics, dependency, and teacher roles remain. The study concludes with recommendations for balanced and effective integration of AI in English language teaching.
