The increasing demand for English in professional contexts has led to significant changes in language teaching practices. This paper examines contemporary approaches to teaching English for Specific Purposes (ESP), with particular attention to classroom realities in higher education. Rather than focusing solely on theoretical models, the study draws on practical teaching experience and recent pedagogical trends. It is argued that effective ESP instruction requires a balance between methodological frameworks and contextual adaptation. The paper discusses communicative and task-based approaches, the role of authentic materials, and the integration of digital tools, highlighting both their advantages and limitations.
