Speech Emotion Recognition (SER) plays a vital role in enhancing the effectiveness of AI language tutors by enabling more empathetic and humanistic interactions. By identifying learners' emotional states through vocal cues, SER allows AI systems to adapt their teaching strategies in real-time, offering encouragement, adjusting difficulty, or providing support as needed. This emotional sensitivity bridges the gap between human and machine communication, fostering a more personalized and engaging learning experience. Integrating SER into AI tutors not only improves learning outcomes but also promotes emotional well-being in language learners.
